The Adventure officially begins today at 0800 hrs after Breakfast at 0700 hrs. The first town/city we reach is Butwal, after which we enter the foothills of Himalayas. The Pokhara Baglung Highway from here onwards is full of bends like all roads in mountainous terrain. The first 55 kilometers to Butwal is mostly straight over the terai plains. We bid farewell to the plain and enter the Himalayas.

The road is tarmacked, though we will encounter some dirt bits due to ongoing widening of the road. It goes through massive cliffs for the most part until Tansen, after which it starts of open up like a normal road in hilly areas.

We will reach Pokhara lakeside area comfortable by 1230. We will check into Hotel, refresh ourselves before Lunch. There is an option to do boating in Phewa lake along with sightseeing visit to Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave and Devis falls but Pokhara being the adventure Capital of whole of South Asia, it is best to dedicate all of our time to just pure adventure activities.

The options we recommend for this day are Bungee jumping & Ziplining since these can do done in the afternoon or before evening as opposed the other ones that are on offer.

The evening is the best time to do a lazy walk around the lake and the main tourist area of Pokhara, the Lakeside area, which our Hotel is very close to.

This day should be dedicated to pure trills and our menu offers the following Choices: Ultralight Flight to the Mountains, Paragliding, and skydive. The former two are available throughout all year round barring bad weather nor low visibility. Early morning hours are the best time to do paragliding ultra-light flight to get the best views and experience.

Skydiving is also an option.

As all these activities

One of few standard tourist activities in Pokhara are boat ride in the lake with a short visit to Barahi Temple. This can be done on this day, or the next or in the morning before the ride to Kathmandu begins.

Visit to Mountain museum is also worthwhile. For riders who want to visit Gupteshwor cave and Devis falls can do so if they prefer to not do one of many adventure activities we recommend.

For early risers, hiking from the Dam side to Peace stupa is fantastic morning activity. It takes only an hour. 20 mins downhill from Peace stupa to other side of Phewa Lake offers one more opportunity to do a short boat ride to Barahi temple if riders chose not to do so the previous day, plus the morning view of fishtail mountain and Annapurna from the lake is a nice way to end our stay in Pokhara.

The day is dedicated only for riding via many foothills of the Himalayas. For better exposure to Nepali hilly lives, terrain and culture, we will ride through many small villages and towns. The ride is long but different to continuous ride along tarmacked but busy highways, exposing us to far less traffic and stress. Devoid of Noisy trucks, busses and other vehicles, this is long but easy ride.

Nagarkot is the most popular Hill station in Nepal with fantastic view of mountains and sunrise if you are an early bird. A hearty breakfast later, we have an easy and short ride to the most well preserved historic town of Bhaktapur. One walking tour in the historic durbar square is the by far the best way to know and appreciate Nepali architecture, amazing woodwork and native culture of Kathmandu valley.

After the sightseeing we stick to secondary roads to reach our Hotel. Check in, refreshing and a lunch later, we have half a day remaining to explore small bits of Kathmandu. Evening visit to Pashupatinath temple is in schedule. The best time to visit Boudhanath is dusk, which we will do so.

We bid farewell to Kathmandu and ride towards Chandragiri hill. 7 kilometers from hotel, the urban zone ends and we begin riding uphill on nice bendy road with very little traffic. Until we reach the city of Hetauda, the road is much less busy compared to the usually route through the highway. The stress of managing through low traffic is a great bonus as well.

After hetauda, we catch the highway and then stick to it for the next 50 old kilometers to Tandi, from where we head south on small but tarmacked road to the beautiful tourist town of Sauraha. The ambiance is perfect balance between tranquility and being in a tourist area. For the next one and half day, we will let go of ourselves and enjoy wildlife activities with relaxed evenings in Sauraha.

Options include Elephant Safari, Jungle Drive, Canoe ride and visit to Elephant sanctuary.

After 5 hrs ride to the border, we complete the full circuit and officially end the great adventure.
